Frequently Asked Questions
Are you a licensed therapist?
Yes, I am a licensed psychotherapist with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field.
What is your therapeutic approach?
I am a collaborative therapist, which means, we work together to find solutions that fit your lifestyle. I provide non-judgmental support and practical feedback to help you effectively address personal/professional life challenges.
How does it work? What do I have to do?
Each individual’s therapeutic needs and goals are different, and thus, each treatment varies according to the person. I tailor all my treatments to suit each of my clients individual needs.
How do I know when I'm finished with therapy?
Therapy is a journey. I will be checking along the way to make sure we are still on a path to your recovery and that you feel you are making headway in the direction you want to go. I will follow your lead as to if therapy continues to be a helpful avenue of support for you. Discharging you from services does not mean you cannot return if you have a need for continued support.
Do you prescribe medication?
I do not prescribe medication. I do support the use of psychotropic medications to treat mental health diagnoses as an additional tool in your coping skills toolbox. Feel free to ask questions you have about medication or if you would like a referral to a recommended prescriber.
What is your cancellation policy?
In order to provide the best quality of care, we request that you provide a 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Failure to do so may result in a $55.00 fee per cancelled/missed appointment. Cancelling/missing three appointments without 24 hours’ notice in a six-month period may result in termination of services.
Do you accept insurance?
Please contact your insurance provider to confirm behavioral health benefits.
Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance.
